Chiropody Treatments

At BevDavies Chriropody, we carry out routine podiatry chiropody treatments in the comfort of the patient’s own home. We treat patients with general foot care problems, as well as high risk patients.

Full consultation and treatment of nails, hard skin, corns, fungal nails etc takes normally  30 – 45 mins but can take longer depending on the condition of the feet. Regular check-ups are needed to keep the feet healthy.

Verruca Treatment

Verrucas are warts on the feet caused by a viral infection. They normally cause no problem at all to the feet and are a very common infection. In some cases they can cause discomfort and need to be treated. Clients can be treated with Cryo-surgery which is a course of treatment which involves freezing the verruca. The number of treatments is determined by the type and number of verrucae present.

Corn Removal

There are a variety of corns with the most common ones being hard and soft corn. The hard corn appear as small, concentrated areas of hard skin up to the size of a small pea usually within a wider area of thickened skin or callous. Soft corns which are whitish and rubbery in texture appear between toes, where the skin is moist from sweat, or from inadequate drying.

Callus Removal

Callus is an extended area of thickened skin often found on the soles of the feet and occurs on areas of pressure. It's the body’s reaction to pressure or friction and can appear anywhere that the skin rubs against a bone, a shoe, or the ground. A callus on the sole of the foot is often likened to ‘walking on a stone’ and can be very painful.

Nail Cutting

We provide toe nail cutting and can cut fingernails.

Ingrown Toenails

Some patients have this condition for years as the nail bed will never right itself. Treatment on a regular basis is required by cutting the nail back along the side, however this is not a permanent solution.

Diabetic Foot Care

As a person with diabetes, you are more vulnerable to foot problems, because diabetes can damage your nerves and reduce blood flow to your feet. When you have diabetes, proper foot care is very important!

Fungal Nails

Fungal nail infection is a very common nail condition that affect many people. Usually they can deteriorate and cause pain due to the thick growth it produces in the nail bed. Damage to the nail occurs slowly and progressively. This can be very difficult to treat!
